Dede Wilsey made her place as one of the greatest fundraisers in San Francisco, she has helped raise close to $450 million for numerous philanthropic projects. It was a ten year long project, for which she worked day and night from fighting with politicians and other extreme costs. She eventually raised $208 million from more than 7,000 donors gifting the city a finely built museum in 2005
